2025-11-16-001 Ordinary day

The world remains unsettled.

The Russia-Ukraine war continues with no sign of stopping.

The trade tensions between China and the U.S. ebb and flow unpredictably.

Life drifts along in uncertainty—each day brings new unknowns about tomorrow.

Every morning, we wake to news filled with AI-induced anxieties.

President Trump constantly stirs controversy, ensuring the world never finds calm.

And Sanae, not to be outdone, fuels one wave of drama after another.

The internet buzzes incessantly.

Beyond the busyness of work, there’s the added stress of managing children’s homework.

We listen to updates on cosmic discoveries while worrying about U.S. government shutdowns.

We fret over internet censorship and feel torn by countless concerns.

At times, war feels frighteningly close; other times, taking out the trash or wiping the table seems to be the essence of life.

Bargaining, trivial pursuits, a cup of coffee, a pill—time slips quietly through our fingers.

Hair turns gray, heart valves grow thinner, knee cartilage wears down, spinal discs degenerate.

Standing or lying down, pain persists; awake or asleep, nightmares haunt.

Yet the world remains as it always has been.

The sun rises just the same.

Rice and fuel cost what they always have.

The same old house, the noisy family, the slowly gathering dust, the faint scent of osmanthus drifting from afar, the sound of children playing.

In this moment, walking the cat with my child, listening as she shares stories about the cat with her little friends—I feel that the world is still the same world.

Before long, the noise will fade into silence, one act will end and another begin, new generations will replace the old. Those who stirred waves in historywill eventually be smoothed and forgotten by time.

And so, we enter a new cycle—only the faces of those weighed down by worries have changed.Like me,on this leisurely afternoon, lost in idle thoughts, alone.
